0 - 50m.
Creeper to 4 - 5 m high. Apical regions fertile, lower parts
sterile. Sterile fronds paired on stems. Each frond with a long
stipe to 10 cm long, then pinnately divided with each stipe short,
to 2 cm, divided at its apex into 2 sets of 3 large pinnae. Pinnae
joined at base, to 35 x 3 cm. Stipe of secondary sterile pinnae
fully winged. Wing continuous to upper 1/3 of main stipe. Fertile
pinnae. Stipe to 6.5 cm, pinnately divided with 2 short stipes to
c. 2 cm long. These again divided but fertile lobes, very
unequally developed. Fertile pinnae to 22 x 0.8 - 0.9 cm. Veins
free. Each vein divided at costa and leading to a fertile sorus.
Sorus immature, green, with 6 distinct sections.
