with Agave parryi, Bouteloua gracilis, Canotia holacantha,
Cercocarpus montanus, Ephedra, Eriogonum wrightii,
Gutierrezia sarothrae, Juniperus osteosperma, Opuntia
chlorotica, O. engelmannii, Parthenium incanum, Rhus trilobata,
and Yucca baccata.
Erect shrub 9dm tall; stems orbicular; fruit taste
intermediate to Opuntia chlorotica and O. engelmannii', photos;
buds collected 11 June 2002, from individual in cultivation at
Chino Valley, Arizona 10 June 2002 and fixed in Camoy's II;
n=33 during meiosis of microgametogenesis.
