R97W section 11 SWA. 40.56945°N, 108.26347°W (±13 ft;
determined by GPS; datum = WGS 84). Elevation 6180-6340 ft.
Disturbed, grazed, juniper woodland on moderate S and SE-facing
slope with coarse, poorly cemented, white sandstone outcrops of
Tertiary Browns Park Formation scattered on upper slope. Soil of
deep sand.
Common. Plants rhizomatous. Cylinder of rhizome pale blue.
Flowers and fruits reddish.
