Alverson No. 574, May 25, 1977 No. £71*. Biroweii*os^e j-tll^ cl.1 p t c c / cl. 5w4V Pineapple. Growing high on cliffs w/ grass/ Basal rosette of thick pointed green lvs. w/ sharp barbs on leaf margins. Stiff plants, difficult to handle, infl. stalk about .5m high. Central stalk w/ many . reddish bracts overk pping- also w/ barbs on margins. Stalk is like a club w/ large seeds located in club head between bracts. Seeds shaped like individual fruits of a pinapple Colombia DPTO. MAGDALENA 03874945
