air) NW of Puerto Pailas, ca. 2.5 km. W of center of
Montero Hoyos. Chaco forest and cleared for fields
and pastures. Flat, sandy soil, with Acrocomia
total, Cereus dayami, Pterogyne nitens,
Achatocarpus nigricans, Capparis tweediana,
17°38,20HS, 62°50,30"W. alt. 300 m.
Terrestrial, 3 m. tall, several stems in a clump,
few-branched, the branches leaning, 3(-4)-angled.
A few red fruits, open on the the plant and the
white pulp and black seeds mostly removed.
