(Jf UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO HERBARIUM (ID) FLORA OF CANADA Sisyrinchium septentrionale Bicknell BRITISH COLUMBIA: West base of Rocky Mountains eastern foothills of Purcell Mountains, vie. Radium Hot Springs, west side of Columbia R. Valley. Small clearing in forest of Pseudo- tsuga and Picea glauca about 30 m from marsh of river backwater via little-used spur road departing from west side gravel road just across from Edgewater (ca. 2-3 km NW), Lon. 116-11, Lat. 50-43, ele. ca. 2700'. Small population on semi-barren soil with Stipa columbiana and Poa pratensis. Perianth deep bluish-purple-violet, the outer segments mostly truncate (some slightly emarginate, some rounded) aristulate. Collected by: Douglass Henderson 6956 with Diane Pavek 21 JUN 85 03855150
