E of center of Santa Cruz, on road to Cotoca. 17°46'S, 63°04' W. alt. 375 m. The "curiche", a natural swampy opening in subtropical semi-deciduous "Chaco" forest, very flat, silty soil, inundated after rains. Ipomoea carnea ssp. fistulosa, Solanum glauco- phyllum, scattered gnarled trees of Geoffroea striata. Epiphyte on log fallen to ground. Stems flat. Fruit dark pink; seeds black. Coll.: M.
