railroad tracks. Plants abundant but scatters
with Potentilla argentea, Juncus, Carex aurei
Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Poa pratensis. St
mostly simple but an occasional plant with b
inflorescence; perianth blue-violet, the se^
mostly emarginate-aristulate; outer spathe 1
generally not widened above the apex of the
inner bract; foliage not strongly glaucous

Soil light colored, fine texture, probably
somewhat alkaline (Distichlis and Puccine'
distans common in nearby depressions).
Pavek’s population 154 with buds and otk
vouchers taken.
