litestone-derived soil. Rocky. With Echinocereus stranineus,
fendleri, E. chloranthus, Fouquieria, Bouteloua eriopoda,
Hibiscus denudatus, Echinocactus horizonthalonius, Larrea,
Prosopis, Huhlenbergia porteri, Partheniui incanua.
Flowers in bud, petals pink, sepals brownish, edges of
sepals fringed; stigca lobes white; flesh not lucilaginous,
purplish-tinged in soae plants; druses present.
Several plants in collection, identified as individuals by
lettered tags.
