(78° 35' W 01° 03’ S) Alt 2600 m. 5 Nov 1985 Columnar, about 1 m high. Stem dark green. Flower zygomorphic, 6-8 cm long, red or occasional orange. All tepals of one colour. Style white, a little violet apically. Stigma-lobes about 8, green. Filament white, violet apically. Anther violet. Fruit subglobose, 2-4 cm in diameter, 1.5-3.0 cm long, greenish to yellowish green basically, dark green to brownish apically. Perianth persistent Flesh of fruit white. 03858718
