highway from Camiri to Cuevo. Grazed chaco forest on
slopes of small hills. Caesalpinia paraguariensis, Jatropha
spp., Capparis speciosa.

Terrestrial, 3-5 stems together, erect, to 1.2 m. tall. Flower
buds red, slightly curved; when flowers open the stamens
exserted; anthers dark red. Fruit obscure wine purple.
