    Occasional in low woods with frequent Acer carolinianum, Liquidambar, Quercus phellos, (upper) Q. pagoda; also F. pauciflora, Q. michauxii, Betula nigra, Platanus, Liriodendron, Nyssa sylvatica, Salix nigra, Ulmus americana, Diospyros, Ilex opaca, Pinus taeda; Carpinus caroliniana var. caroliniana, Ilex decidua, Wisteria ?macrostachya, Smilax hederacea.
