Scattered in low woods with frequent Acer negundo; also A. carolinianum, Ulmus americana, Liquidambar, Quercus phellos, Q. rubra, Carya cordiformis, C. laciniata, C. ?illinoinensis; Vitis rotundifolia, V. ?vulpina, Asimina, Arundinaria, Baccharis.
