Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Andrés Ibáñez, along
Quebrada Peji, an intermittent sandy streambed
now dry, vicinity bridge on new highway from
Santa Cruz to Camiri, and railroad bridge, flat,
with some stabilized old sand dunes and some
blowing sand, grassy open areas and brushy
patches of woods.
17°57’30MS, 63°11’W. alt. 440 m.
3.5 m. tall, branched; branches with (4) 5 (6)
ribs. A few old flowers. Fruit green, curved
upwards. Rare; this is the first time I have
seen it in the Santa Cruz plains; in all respects
this is similar to but more slender than C.
dayami which is common here.
