t. R. L Liesner, 1972 Supported in Part by Grants from the National Science Foundation Growing under shade of trees. Leaves to 1.3 m tall. Fruit green with whitish powder. Pastures and remnants of woodland on sandy and whitish pumice and tuff soils, trees 5-10 m. tall on well drained sites and taller on deeper soils, with Quercus oleoides common over a wide area; 200-250 m. alti- tude.
