Limonium carolinianum (Walt.) Britt.
Onslow Co.: Bear Island or Hammocks
Beach State Park about 3 miles from
Swansboro. Edge of salt marsh along sound
near the western end of the island.
Exceedingly abundant forming dense rows
about 8 dm. high along the upper edge of
marsh on sandy ridge. Plants much more
profusely branched, larger and earlier
flowering than those in the marsh* Leaves
all brown and brittle on the robust plants.
