Cultivated extensive woody vine growing along hedgerow. Flower buds deep rose pink. Petals rose pink, the limb fading to creamy white with age, the claw remaining pale pink. Calyx without glands. Grown from cutting collected in Ecuador: Prov, Pastaza, Rio Chico, affluent of Rio Pastaza, 10 km. S. of Puyo. Aug. 1979. M. Shemluck & F. Ness 219. Coll. Timothy Plowman 1 Mar 1983 03849643
