Herb with one to several translucent tubers
ca. 1cm by 5mm; stem purple to green flush
purple above; leaves lustrous light green
with purple spots,pale below; bracts cream
white inside to light purple outsiie and
slightly fleshy: petals lavender with double
yellow streak on lip and white on throat of
upper petal; anthers brown. Grows in thin,
moist humus layer close to bare or weathered
sandstone.
