North of San Ramon, 5 km north of village of Volio and 0.5
km north of Alto Villegas.
10°10’N, 84°26’W Elevation: ca. 1300 m.
Epiphytic; moss covered trees at edge of ravine running
through pasture. Plants abundant, growing in wet moss on
tree trunk. Bladder-bearing branches numerous, delicate,
much branched, white (easily broken of in collecting), mostly
growing beneath loose, rooting bark. Many single sterile
leaves interconnected by bladder-bearing branches. Tubers
translucent, sometimes greenish, usually whitish, associated
with leaves. Flowers white, with yellow center. Spur curving
upward, and deflected downward at tip (double-curved), lying
just beneath lower lip (hidden), apex acute.
