Stems prostrate, or sub-erect, very short, slerder,
leafy to the base ; fronds once or twice branched on I
j both sides, \ an inch to \\ inches long, J to 1 inch
wide; pale straw-green, main rachis and branches|
angular, 1 to 2 lines wide over the leaves ; major
leaves spreading, lax, not imbricating ; linear-oblong;
sub-acute, the base oblique, J to 1 Hue long, not|
I ciliate-edged ; minor leaves minute, ovate, conspicu-i
ously aristate, slightly keeled or not, densely
imbricated; spikes very short; quadrate or rather:
i flattened flense, keeled, cuspidate.—Trinidad, Wests
' IBHl'M. it comes in between S. caribensis and S.|
alboniteus, and is a very small, soft, delicato species.
