Description
Viscid perennial herb, branched from the base with erect to procumbent or ascending branches. leaves very light green with prominent whitish primary veins beneath. Peduncles spreading, bracts green, purplish-tipped. Calyces pale green suffused with purple above and inflated in bud and fruit. Calyx becoming very pale as nutlets mature. Nutlets pale brown on succulent green receptacle clearly visible from above. Calyx lobes finally expanding and calyx turning reddish brown. Corolla violet, paler in throat. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
