    Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu. 3.1 km. NNW of Padua Sales. (About 27 km. NW of city of Moji-Mirim.).

  • Habitat

    Campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams. This habitat: open ground on slight slope, among scattered bushes of Senecio brasiliensis. Dryish, horse-grazed ground at edge of sedge meadow, 350 m. south of main house & 200 m. west of road.

  • Description

    Plant flat on ground, rarely with branches erect. Fls. pale purple. From plant number 1, taproot 8 mm. diam. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
