floodplain, along east side of dredged Beardstown
Slough channel south of powerline crossing, west of
Beardstown shopping center, northwest of Carp Lane.
Beardstown 7.5 min. quadrangle. Coordinate datum
WGS 84 / NAD 83. Deep sand.
Margin of disturbed floodplain forest. The site includes
the east shore of an excavated slough margin, perhaps
best fitting the description of an ephemeral sand pond
(shore) natural community, as well as its associated
mesic floodplain forest on a low sand levee. Fruit
blueish to purple; vine about 4 meters long in shrubs at
margin of disturbed floodplain forest.
