Location
Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Cordillera Prov. Along gravel road eastward, just east of new highway from Santa Cruz to Abapó, the turnoff 3 km N of bridge over Río Seco.

Habitat
Disturbed areas in fores and at edge of partly shaded roadside. Chaco forest with Ruprechtia triflora, with some selective logging and minor grazing, flat. Common. Soil fine sandy and clay.

Description
Herb, robust, to 1.3 m tall; plant viscid and aromatic but not very pleasantly so. Corolla very pale yellowish with 5 dark purple-brown spots at base within; anthers yellow. Fruiting calyx hanging, strongly 5-angled; fruit green, viscid.
