of Pennsylvania Route 144 (SR 150) above Spring
Creek, southeast of sewage treatment plant; Milesburg.
Dolomite outcrops - bluffs along road and continuing
along old road cut perpendicular (north) to road.
Elevation about 750-800 feet. Dolomite talus slope, dry,
disturbed (Bellefonte Formation - Ordovician ?).
Shrubland, regrowth forest, in shade with Ligustrum,
Lonicera morrowii, Morns alba, Allium cemuum,
Aster oblongifolius, Viburnum opulus, Rhamnus
cathartica, Elaeagnus. Fruits red, pendulous, infrequent
multistemmed shrub 2 meter tall, main stems arching.
