Highway (unpaved gravel road), lA mile SW of Hwy. 47,
5.8 miles N of junction of Hwy. 47 with Rte. 6 in
Woodbury.
41°36’10’N, 73°17’18”W. alt. 1025 ft.
Shrub 2 m. tall. Abundant and forming nearly complete
understory over several acres in young deciduous woods,
but completely absent across road in similar woods. Flowers
hanging, yellow; sepals green in middle on outside. Similar
to the rare purple-leaved form, no. Nee 54329 growing here,
but flowers somewhat smaller.
