Flora of the Paumonek Wetland, Long Island Berberis thunbergii DC. NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School. Small shrub approx. 1 m tall. Very bristly. Petals cream in color. Growing in an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Eurybia divaricata, Alliaria petiolata, Toxicodendron radicans, Arisaema triphyllum, Maianthrmum racemosum, and Lindera benzoin. Matthew C.
