Coca, 5 km S by dirt road from turnoff of highway
Bermejo-Samaipata. Brushy and open areas, pastures and in
crops, formerly dry forest.
18°10’S, 63°42’W alt. 1150 m.
On springy bank. Terrestrial from a large tuber-likebase,
this light yellow on inside when cut open; base of the plant
with a dense covering of young plantlets or bulblets, some
of them detached and developing. Inflorescence erect;
spathe light green, the terminal part more yellow-green; the
spadix and the flowers white.
