United States of America. California. Mono Co. On Big Sand flat, along highway 120, southeast of Mono Lake.

Habitat
Common on the pumice sand flats along both sides of the Mono Craters, and along the foothills from June Lake to the north shore of Mono Lake. Seen on the east shore of the lake, but rare. On dry pumice soil.

Casepitose; flowers lilac with a cream-white spot on the banner. Seeds white. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
