internodes short, 3-4 cm diam.;
petioles densely pale speckled,
inrolled sheath; geniculum 6-7 cm
long; blade subcoriaceous, dark green
and semiglossy above, paler and weakly
glossy below; midrib concave and paler
above, thicker than broad, dark green
and pale-speckled below; primary
lateral veins quilted-sunken above,
convex matte and darker below; minor
veins few, visible; inflorescence
erect, held above leaves; spathe
green, medium green; spadix creamy at
anthesis, dark green in fruit; pistils
prominently exserted.
