Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Ichilo Prov. 6 km (by air) N of main town of Colonia San Juan.

Habitat

Brushy secondary remnant of former evergreen forest. Very flat. Surrounded by fields of rice, etc. and pastures.

Description

Erect herbs 1.3 m. tall in unshaded ditch, some plants to 1.5 m. tall and sub-shrubby, few-branched. Flowers odorless (12:30 P.M., sunny day), nodding; calyx in flower and early fruit greenish white; corolla white. Fruit held erect. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
