Description
Liana. Liana. Stems 20 m long, 2.5 cm diameter. Sheaths densely covered with dark brown, flat, black, horizontal, laciniate spines; petioles 14 cm long; rachises 130 cm long; pinnae 49 per side of rachis, linear (‘broken vein’), regularly arranged, relatively short, some with ruffled margins, with numerous, small, brown scales abaxially, distal pinnae reduced; cirri spines regular. Infructescences 42 cm long; fruits whitish; seeds smooth, asymmetrical. (sarcotesta slimy?).
