JALISCOj In thorny scrub woods dominated by Acacia, on
slopes of limestone hill about U road miles east of
Tonaya and road miles west of Ciudad Guzman. Elevation
about 2800 feet* Plants mostly 1-1.5 tall, shrubby
toward the base, with several long branches of the season.
Heads yellow, with about 8 (sometimes 10) rays, these
neutral, with reduced pappus. Disk achenes hairy. Pappus
of several fimbriate scales, 2 of them awn-tipped.
