swelling, entire corolla 50 mm.long on
ventral side, 45 mm. long on dorsal
side, 20 mm. wide at throat at base of
corolla lobes; 2 upper lobes suborbicu^r ;
lar, 10 mm. long, 11 mm wide,
centralmost lower lobe 14 mm. long,
18 mm. wide, fringed; 2 lateral lower
lobes 10 mm. long, 5 mm. wide, the
central lobe the broadest

Epiphyte climbing tree trunk to 10 m. up;leaves
subcoriaceous, deep green above, pale green
below; calyx pale green tinged madder purple at
tips and upper sides; corolla white without,the
lobes dark wine-purple in middle within, but
only the upper 2 lobes with a 10 X 4 mm oblong-
ovate, solid patch within, the lower 3 lobes
with this color but 3-4-striped; interior of
ESTADO TRUJILLO: Selva virgen, arriba de Escuque, entre Escuque y
La Mesa de San Pedro.
Altura: 1300-1650 metros
