GUYANA. Region: Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Below 1st escarpment (of four) of
Kamakusa Mt., 0-1 mi. SW of Ducking (1st) Camp (camp 5°46'36.9"N,
60°15'49.3"W, 607m; to savanna 5°45'58.9"N, 60°15'57.6"W, 637m).
637 m. 5°45'58.9"N 60°15'57.6"W. Open savanna, in part recently
burned, with Brocchinia, Stegolepis, Xyridaceae, and graminoids;
adjacent to forest, and scrub forest on white sand,. Shrub to 3m. Leaves
densely brown-tomentose. Inflorescence axes rusty, brown. Corolla brown,
anthers white. Fruit rusty brown. Silica sample.
