A week spent abed with a cold and then Christmas ac-
tivities have delayed reply until new. " 1 got in touch,
with the caretaker at Fort Marion this morning end with
the aid of a l&dder managed to collect some specimens of
tha%o-oalled "Holly” fern and will send them to you. They
will mot he dry so you had better go to work on them as soon
as theys,arrive. is this Qyrtomlum faloatumt
You need, net have been so meticulous about paying for the
gas on the "fern party*'. However, I am spending it to send
a copy of your ttaaual to a friend so some of It will return
to you eventually.	-
If you get dewn again leter in the winder I hope that I
will be able to Join you for a part of the trip at least.
Let us hope the weather will be a bit better- if it isn't
I'll take a closed ear. I would certainly like to investi~
gate more of that country around Chipley for I feel sure
that, better stations for the Pellea should be there. 41so
that reeky country along the Xnconfina River south of Cotton-
dale Sounds interesting.
