Stems held horizontally from tree trunks
on which the plants are epiphytic climbers.
In forest shade. Flowers pendulous. Pedicels
white, marked with red. Sepals dark fuschia.
(38c). -to pale pinkish. Corolla tube white
marked with pink or purple. Tube with purplish
stripes within.
Upper drainage of the Río Peñas Blancas below the Monteverde Cloud
Forest Nature Reserve. Premontane rain forest formations with original
forest and some pastures on hilly ground. Alajuela Province. 9° 17' N X
84° 86' W. 1250-1350 m. altitude.
