on Acer glabrum Torr.
Frequent on a colony ;#f the host in the dry portion
of Squaw Valley Creek canyon.
Apparently the Septoriae on Acer are in need
of detailed study. Without going into detail on
this particular material at the present time it should
be remarked that while the symptoms and spore
size correspond to those of the Saccardoan descrip-
tion of this fungus, the host range and spore size
correspond to the Saccardoan description of
Septoria Saccharini E. and E. var.occidentalis E. and E.
