Clear odorless sap turns yellow on exposure
to air; prophyll pale pink streaked with red;
spathe cream colored, splotched with reddish
purple; spadix with staminate and sterile
portions cream, pistillate portion pale green;
spadix exuding red sap when cut at base of
staminate fls.
