Pastures and 7 year-old "acahual" (second growth), on flat and with some bedrock outcrops but not limestone karst hills. On ground in pasture, probably remains of an epiphyte, now on a rotten log. Inflorescence closed; spathe purple (female part) and yellow-green (male part), 1 or 2 per leaf axil. Petiole 75 cm. long, terete. Coll.: M.
