In sandy ditch along west side of unpaved road; on
south terrace along Deal Creek. Site #26 (Lat.
34°10,50"; Long. 82°42,00M), ca. 3 miles southwest of
town of Lowndesville, S. C.; ca. 1.5 miles east of
the Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake). Area to be
impounded in mid-1980*s.
