Epiphyte attached climbing on tree. Leaves coriaceous,
deep green above, paler green below; spathe orange-
yellow; spadix orange, 1 cm diam, becoming bronze-olive
green later; young spathe green. Altiplanicie de Nuria
trail from base of Cerro El Picacho north of Las Nieves
along upper slopes southeast of Cerro de Picacho to
summit, north of Chicharras. Forest and summit of highest
part of Cerro El Picacho in vicinity of and east of bluff.
