Dry vernal pool depression ('bottom wet from last rain
"but cracked from preceding drought) w. side r<35, with
several rows Figs omitted. Eleocharis palustris under
dwarfed Populus — cultivated away from tree last year,
Lythrum abundant along rd, edge of depression; some
simple, some widely branched from lower 1/2 of stem;
petals pinkish; Downingia fig, aspect over center of
depression.
