Garden, were collected four miles east of Naranja (Silver Palm),
Dade County, Florida, December 50, 1934, by Robert P. St. John,
346, A and B, and at Deep Lake, Big Cypress Swamp, Florida,
March 27, 1934, Robert P. St. John. 164.
Thelypteris unca R. St. John, sp. nov., rhizoma repens, foliis
dispersisi laminae acuminatae, ad basem paulo reductae: stipites
rachides costaeque stramìnei: pinnae adscendentes, falcatae, ad
basem latissimae, apicibus integris: segmenta falcata, infima
longissime: sori inter costam et marginem medii. — Costello
Hammock, Dade County, Florida, Martio 28, 1934, R. P. St. John,
typus in herb. Hort. Bot. Noveboracensis.11
In view of the discrepancies in dates of the type collection
in the above two paragraphs the English text paragraph was changed
to read as follows :
“The type specimen, consisting of two sheets, in the herbarium
of the New York Botanical Garden, was collected on Costello
Hammock, Dade County, Florida, March 28, 1934, by Robert P.
