    Note: "Not Crescentia alata. The following features do not correspond to C. alata: Acute leaf points (C. alata are obtuse) Double petiole (C. alata always simple, only one winged petiole and then the three leaflets). Alternate simple leaves (C. alata are in bundles, which are alternate, but always in bundles) Branch point with small, developing leaves is not characteristic of C. alata. Instead, we would expect an abrupt branch ending with a small bundle of developing leaves.
