Terrestrial, to 1 m tall; internodes
dark green, unmarked, semiglossy, 3.5
cm long, 2-4 cm diam.; petioles
slightly paler, sheath faintly
striate, matte white-cream adaxially
(extending onto blade),
inequilaterally rounded and
free-ending at apex, margin erect to
involute, incurled in age; blade
moderately coriaceous, dark green with
subvelvety sheen ajjove, slightly paler
and matte below; midrib weakly paler,
flat, weakly sulcate near base above,
narrow-rounded and much paler below;
primary lateral veins weakly
quilted-sunken above, convex and paler
below; minor veins obscurely visible;
inflorescences 1-3 per axil; spathe
medium green both surfaces.
