[Label reads “First discovered by Dr. Gray [?] in 1808 and not again there till detected by me in company with Torrey in June 1818.” If "me and Torrey" are the collectors, then the primary collector is William Cooper. William Cooper and John Torrey visited the Pine Barrens in 1818 and published accounts of their discoveries.]
