Terrestrial on flat areas in full
shade and on stream banks; internodes
3 cm long, 2.7 cm diam., dark green,
semiglossy; petioles dark green,
pale—streaked throughout, matte to
weakly glossy; sheath unequal at apex,
one side rounded, free part terete,
moderately firm to sharply and
narrowly flattened; blades
subcoriaceous, dark green and
semiglossy above, moderately paler and
matte below; midrib flat and scarcely
paler above, narrow-rounded and paler
below; primary lateral veins sunken
above, convex below; minor veins
moderately obscure; inflorescences 3-6
per axil; spathe medium green outside,
slightly paler and glossy within;
pistils pale yellow.
