Terrfestrial; internodes 1-3 cm, mostly
short, 1.5-S cm diam., moderately
glossy; petioles dark green, weakly
glossy; sheath whitish along margins,
margins sometimes weakly free-ending
(rounded), incurled; free part terete
to narrowly and obscurely flattened;
blades subcoriaceous, dark green and
almost matte above, moderately paler
below; midrib flat—convex and
concolorous above, narrow-rounded and
paler below; primary lateral veins
sunken-quilted above, convex-weakly
pleated-convex below; infructescences
1-3 per axil; spathe bright orange;
fruits red; spathe green
(post-anthesis).
