above lake; woods of Tsuga mertensiana, Abies
lasiocarpa, Abies grandis, Pseudotsuga; elev.
1*900-6000 feet; locally common on wooded
slopes on Bolan Mt.; sepals yellow-green,
slightly pink distally; petals white; shrubs
about 3 feet tall
